What is the purpose of the RiSE festival? RiSE Festival: The Uplifting All-Inspiring Movement returns to the Mojave Desert for the 5th Annual event that’s purpose is to “elevate hope, ignites dreams, and creates memories,” their Facebook page states.
What happens to the lanterns after the RiSE festival? All of the sky-lanterns, lantern packaging, cups and plates in our food court, are either biodegradable or compostable. After the event we retrieve the biodegradable lanterns from the surrounding desert as well as any pre-existing litter that we find in the desert around Jean Dry Lake Bed.
What is RiSE Mojave? RiSE is a space away from the everyday. A naturally inspiring setting paired with entertainment, food, and artistic spaces. Culminating in the world largest sky lantern release. Join us for our 8th year in the Mojave on Jean Dry Lake bed just 25 miles south of Las Vegas. Learn More.
Is RiSE festival kid friendly? The magic and beauty of RiSE occurs when all our light soars together. Thank you for coming together with us to make this a more family friendly event. Similar to an “infant in arms” policy on an airline, we will allow children 3 and under to share a mat with an adult in the family section.
